File Shepherd is a file transfer management system, designed to easily and reliably automate file transfers. It is built on a Java platform and uses flat files for its configuration for maximum portability. Shepherd first identifies the files to be transmitted, either on the remote system or the local system, based on the configuration, and then transmits the files using one of two built in transfer protocols, or using a custom transfer script or program.
